Overview
The Score tab in the proposal sidebar shows a quality score from 0 to 100, displayed as a circular progress indicator. The AI evaluates your proposal across five dimensions and provides specific suggestions for improvement.
Proposal scoring requires a Solo plan or higher. Free plan users can upgrade in Settings → Billing to unlock this feature.
Scoring dimensions
Your overall score is a weighted average of five dimensions:
Clarity (25%)
Measures how easy the proposal is to understand. The AI checks for:
- Clear, jargon-free language (or well-explained technical terms)
- Logical structure and flow
- Concise sentences and paragraphs
Completeness (25%)
Evaluates whether the proposal covers all necessary ground:
- Are all client requirements addressed?
- Is the scope clearly defined?
- Are deliverables, timeline, and pricing all present?
Persuasiveness (20%)
Assesses how compelling the proposal is:
- Does it articulate clear value to the client?
- Are benefits emphasized alongside features?
- Is there a strong call to action?
Risk Coverage (15%)
Checks whether potential issues are acknowledged and addressed:
- Are assumptions stated explicitly?
- Are risks identified with mitigation strategies?
- Are exclusions and boundaries clearly defined?
Professionalism (15%)
Evaluates the overall polish:
- Consistent tone and formatting
- Proper grammar and spelling
- Appropriate level of formality
Improvement suggestions
Below the score breakdown, you'll find a list of specific, actionable suggestions. Each suggestion tells you exactly what to change and why. For example:
- "Add a section about post-launch support to improve Completeness"
- "Replace 'we'll leverage synergies' with concrete language to improve Clarity"
- "Include a risk mitigation plan for the tight deadline to improve Risk Coverage"
You don't need a perfect 100. Proposals scoring 75 or higher typically perform well. Focus on the suggestions with the highest impact — usually Clarity and Completeness improvements give the biggest boost.
Re-scoring
The score updates automatically when you make significant edits to the proposal. You can also click Rescore to trigger a fresh evaluation at any time. This lets you iterate — make edits, rescore, and track your progress toward a stronger proposal.
