The onboarding wizard
After signing up, you'll walk through 4 quick steps. The information you provide here directly improves the quality of your AI-generated proposals.
Select your industry
Choose your primary industry (e.g., Web Development, Design, Copywriting, Marketing, Consulting). This helps Ergate use the right terminology and structure.
Choose your skills
Select the services you offer. You can pick multiple. Ergate uses these to match the right deliverables to client briefs.
Set your pricing
- Hourly rate — your base rate for time-based work
- Currency — USD, EUR, GBP, and more
- Preferred pricing model — hourly, fixed price, retainer, or value-based
Ergate uses these defaults when generating pricing estimates. You can always adjust them per proposal.
Define your writing style (optional)
Choose a tone preset (Professional, Friendly, Technical, or Creative) or write a custom description of your preferred voice. This shapes how Ergate writes your proposals.
You can update all of these settings later in Settings → Profile.
